MY PERCEPTION TOWARDS MY PERSONAL CONNECTIONS
Visually representing my perception towards my personal connections with symbols.
This project is developed from a quote by Daniel Tammet, "Explore the nature of perception (for me) and how different kinds of perceiving creates different kinds of knowing and understanding ( family? friends? )".
Process:
I collected and analyzed all my calls and texts with my family and friends within one week. Then, I designed symbols inspired by the scripts of the languages I use to communicate with them. For my family - Gujarati script and for my friends - Hindi script. I then assigned various communication mediums to them and designed infographics using them. The infographics are based on the analysis of texts and calls. Next, using the analysis and the key I started making patterns using these symbols. The small black boxes represent the change in the day.
The final symbols are divided into three sections - calls, text, and pictures. The symbols for calls - inside a square border, for text - positive shapes made from the Gujarati alphabets and for pictures - positive shapes made from the alphabets with a dot in them.
These are the final patterns representing my conversation with my family and friends.
